🔎 Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and technically sound Site Engineer – Solar Projects to lead the on-site execution, installation, and commissioning of Solar PV systems. You will be responsible for managing site activities, ensuring technical compliance, and coordinating with sub-contractors to deliver projects within the stipulated timeline and quality standards of Vexl Environ Projects.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Project Execution & Installation

• Site Supervision: Manage day-to-day site activities, including the installation of solar modules, mounting structures, inverters, and DC/AC cabling.
• Civil & Mechanical Coordination: Oversee foundation work, module mounting structure (MMS) assembly, and ensuring proper tilt/alignment as per design.
• Electrical Integration: Supervise the installation of AC/DC distribution boxes, earthing systems, lightning arrestors, and transformer/HT-panel integration.

Site Management & Coordination

• Resource Management: Coordinate with sub-contractors, laborers, and vendors to ensure smooth workflow and manpower productivity.
• Material Tracking: Manage site inventory, including receiving, inspecting, and tracking the consumption of solar panels, inverters, and cables.
• Liaisoning: Assist in coordinating with local DISCOMs or electrical inspectors for solar net-metering and grid connectivity (where applicable).

Technical Documentation & Quality Control

• Reporting: Prepare and submit Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and weekly summaries to the Project Manager.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is done as per the Approved-for-Construction (AFC) drawings and industry standards.
• Testing & Commissioning: Support the testing of string voltages, insulation resistance, and final plant commissioning.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure 100% adherence to site safety protocols, including the use of PPE, fall protection for rooftop sites, and electrical safety during testing.

🎓 Required Qualification & Skills

• Education: B.Tech / BE or Diploma in Electrical (Preferred) or Civil Engineering.
• Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Solar PV project execution.
• Software: Basic knowledge of AutoCAD (to read drawings) and MS Excel (for reporting).

Technical Knowledge:

• Deep understanding of Solar PV Technology, including String/Central Inverters and Module types.
• Knowledge of DC/AC wiring, earthing systems, and LT/HT electrical components.
• Familiarity government infra projects and solar projects.

• Problem-Solving: Quick thinking to resolve site-specific obstacles (shading issues, structural challenges).
• Travel: Must be willing to stay at project sites across India.
