Job Description – QA/QC Executive

Department: Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC)

Location: PAN India (Project Sites)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience: 2–5 Years In QA & QC

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Environmental Engineering or related discipline.

Job Summary

VEXL Environ Projects Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented QA/QC Executive / QA-QC Inspector to ensure quality compliance during the execution of Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Fire Fighting Systems, Pipeline Projects, and other EPC works.

The candidate will be responsible for inspecting materials, monitoring construction activities, maintaining quality documentation, coordinating inspections, and ensuring compliance with client specifications, approved drawings, and applicable standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Quality Planning & Documentation

• Prepare and implement Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements, and Quality Procedures.
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test reports, checklists, and project documentation.
• Prepare Quality Dossiers and final quality documentation for project handover.

2. Material Inspection

• Inspect incoming materials and verify Material Test Certificates (MTC), Test Certificates, and vendor documents.
• Ensure all supplied materials comply with approved specifications and project requirements.
• Inspect pipes, valves, pumps, blowers, tanks, pressure vessels, electrical panels, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment.

3. Site Quality Control

• Monitor civil, mechanical, electrical, piping, and instrumentation activities during project execution.
• Conduct dimensional inspections, welding inspections, coating/painting inspections, hydro testing, and equipment installation inspections.
• Ensure all works are executed according to approved drawings, BOQ, client specifications, and quality standards.

4. Inspection & Compliance

• Coordinate Third Party Inspections (TPI), client inspections, and consultant inspections.
• Conduct site quality audits and vendor inspections.
• Raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and monitor corrective and preventive actions until closure.

5. Quality Monitoring

• Verify workmanship quality throughout project execution.
• Identify quality issues and recommend corrective measures.
• Ensure compliance with IS, ASTM, ASME, IEC, and other applicable standards.

6. Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement Team, Vendors, and Clients.
• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports.
• Support successful project commissioning and final handover.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and quality documentation.
• Understanding of material inspection and testing procedures.
• Basic knowledge of welding inspection, piping inspection, and hydro testing.
• Familiarity with civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works.
• Knowledge of IS, ASTM, ASME, IEC, and other engineering standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering.
• Certification in QA/QC, Welding Inspection, NDT, or ISO 9001 will be an added advantage.
