Job Title: Proposal Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Proposal Manager to lead and manage the end-to-end proposal development process within the water and wastewater management sector. The successful candidate will be instrumental in securing new business opportunities by crafting compelling, compliant, and technically accurate proposals that align with client requirements and our strategic goals. This role requires a blend of strong project management skills, exceptional written and verbal communication, and a deep understanding of water and wastewater treatment technologies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Lead and coordinate the entire proposal development lifecycle, from initial opportunity assessment and request for proposal (RFP) analysis through to submission and post-submission activities.

·        Analyze client requirements, specifications, and tender documents thoroughly to develop tailored, winning strategies and solutions.

·        Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, legal, finance, and subject matter experts, to gather necessary information and input for proposals.

·        Develop comprehensive proposal outlines, schedules, and compliance matrices, ensuring all deliverables meet client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

·        Write, edit, and proofread proposal content, ensuring clarity, conciseness, technical accuracy, and compelling messaging that highlights our value proposition.

·        Manage proposal timelines and budgets, ensuring timely submission of high-quality proposals.

·        Facilitate proposal kick-off meetings, progress reviews, and final document reviews to align team members and stakeholders on objectives and expectations.

·        Develop detailed cost estimates, working closely with procurement and project teams to obtain accurate pricing for materials, equipment, manpower, and other project-related expenses.

·        Maintain and update a library of proposal templates, boilerplate content, case studies, and supporting documents.

·        Conduct post-submission debriefs to analyze proposal outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and implement lessons learned for future bids.

·        Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes in the water and wastewater sector to enhance proposal effectiveness and innovation.

·        Support business development and marketing efforts by contributing to strategic planning and client engagement activities.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, or related field), Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is a plus.

·        3-5+ years of proven experience in proposal management, technical writing, or business development, specifically within the water treatment, wastewater treatment, or environmental engineering industry.

·        Strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes (e.g., WTP, ETP, STP, RO, UF, ZLD, MBR, MBBR), equipment, and systems.

·        Demonstrated proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously under tight deadlines.

·        Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

·        Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical, with strong problem-solving capabilities.

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with proposal management software (e.g., RFPIO, Qvidian) is highly desirable.

·        Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

·        Certifications such as APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) or PMP (Project Management Professional) are a significant advantage.

·        Familiarity with relevant local and international environmental regulations and compliance standards.
