Job Title: Business Development Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our market presence within the corporate and industrial sectors of water and wastewater management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strategic relationships with corporate clients, and leading the sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure. This role requires a deep understanding of water and wastewater treatment solutions, strong sales acumen, and the ability to articulate complex technical solutions to C-suite executives and technical stakeholders in corporate environments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·        Identify, research, and target new business opportunities within the corporate and industrial sectors (e.g., manufacturing, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, oil & gas, data centers) for water and wastewater treatment projects and services.

·        Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand the company’s market share in alignment with overall business objectives.

·        Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and influencers within target corporate accounts.

·        Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends, market gaps, and potential growth areas.

·        Understand client needs and challenges related to water usage, wastewater discharge, regulatory compliance, and sustainability goals, proposing tailored and innovative solutions.

·        Prepare compelling proposals, quotations, presentations, and tender documentation that clearly articulate our value proposition, technical capabilities, and financial benefits.

·        Lead techno-commercial discussions and negotiations, ensuring terms are favorable to the company while meeting client expectations.

·        Collaborate closely with internal teams, including engineering, project management, legal, and finance, to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.

·        Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.

·        Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales forecasts, customer relationship management (CRM) records, and sales reports.

·        Stay informed about relevant environmental regulations, policies, and technological advancements impacting the corporate water and wastewater landscape.

 

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Civil, Mechanical) or Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is highly preferred.

·        7+ years of progressive experience in business development or technical sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the water and wastewater treatment industry.

·        Demonstrable experience specifically engaging with corporate and industrial clients is essential.

·        Strong understanding of industrial water treatment processes (e.g., RO, UF, Demineralization, Effluent Treatment) and wastewater treatment technologies.

·        Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

·        Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, concise, and persuasive business proposals.

·        Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

·        Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and report writing.

·        Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory and occasionally internationally.

 

Desired Skills:

·        Existing network of contacts within the corporate water and wastewater sector.

·        Strategic thinking with the ability to identify and capitalize on long-term growth opportunities.

·        Experience in managing large deal volumes and target account pipelines.

·        Familiarity with contract law and commercial agreements.
